sponsored by
The Careers Fair 2009 took place on Tuesday 6th and
Wednesday 7th October, 1.30pm - 7pm (last entry 6.30pm) each day
in Adam House, Chambers
Street. You can find Adam House on the
campus map.
This event has now
taken place but the information has been left below for reference.
Why should I attend?
There will be around 120
organisations exhibiting at the fair. It's your best chance to find out a
great deal about potential career opportunities for you all in one place, no matter
what stage you are at in your career planning. Final year students can
find out about graduate jobs and earlier year students can find out about
work experience and internships.

exhibiting?

opportunities they are offering
Which day should I attend?
There will be a mixture of all kind of employers exhibiting each day.
If possible, try and come along both days. However, if you can only
come on one of the days, check the list of exhibitors to see who is coming each day so you don’t miss anyone you really want
to chat to.
What happens at the Fair?
Each exhibiting organisation
has a stand and their reps are there to answer your questions about what the
organisation does, what jobs they offer to final year students and
graduates, what vacation work or placements they provide to earlier year
students, and any other opportunities that they offer.
We recommend that you do
some research on the companies attending before you turn up - you can find
out more about each exhibitor by checking the list of exhibitors, and you
can also look up the exhibitors on SAGE to find out more about the specific
jobs they are recruiting for. Do also read our advice on Making the
Most of the Fair.
What else is on offer?
A series
of talks will also take place in the basement theatre at Adam House - the
programme is below.
